WE PLAY ALL THE GENRES
Hammerhedd is a young trio of brothers (from left to right: Abe, Henry, Eli) from Kansas City, KS. We started playing rock & metal at the ages of 12, 10, & 7 in our parents' basement in 2012. Our sound has since diversified; the most recent releases are more akin to rock, punk, dance, & alternative than they are hard rock or metal, but our drive and intensity remains the same. We play, write & record music with the ultimate goal of one day creating a song or album that we agree sounds 1) new, 2) good, & 3) original. Everything we release up until that hypothetical “perfect” fruition is just progress.

in 2025…
…we released a new song every month of the year. We did this mainly to subvert our collective perfectionism (songs never feel “done”, we just need to leave them alone at some point!)… we forced ourselves to write and release a new song every month no matter what.
The songs themselves are a mix of experimental, punk, dance, rock, & pop sounds. From the pop choruses of “Blue Emergency”, to the heavy riffs in “Third Watch”, to the blistering outro groove in “Do (what you have to)”, the singles will keep the listener guessing ‘til the end.
